In a world often dominated by neutral palettes and understated designs, Elena Lenzi-Beswick’s work brings a unique vibrancy and thoughtful creativity to architecture and interior design in Cheshire. Elena’s journey is as inspiring as the spaces she creates, shaped by a remarkable career spanning yacht design, architecture, and teaching.
Elena’s story begins in Milan, a city synonymous with fashion, luxury, and architectural elegance. Growing up near Via Montenapoleone, one of Europe’s most iconic streets, she was surrounded by exceptional craftsmanship, striking architecture, and inspiring design. This early exposure to aesthetics cultivated her deep appreciation for the relationship between form, function, and beauty—foundations that continue to influence her work today.
Elena’s passion for design took her into the world of luxury yacht design. She quickly made her mark by creating award-winning interiors for renowned models such as the Conam 75 and Atlantis 55, blending technical precision with visual allure. Her reputation for innovation earned her a position as Lecturer of Yacht Design at the European Institute of Design, where she nurtured emerging talent and honed her philosophy of holistic design.
Her experiences on international design panels, including serving as a judge for the prestigious Compass d’Oro Award (INDEX jury member), refined her discerning eye. It’s this meticulous attention to detail that Elena now brings to her residential and commercial projects in Cheshire, marrying structure with style.
When Elena relocated to England, she identified an opportunity to offer a unique service: combining architecture and interior design seamlessly. Drawing inspiration from the pioneering work of Frank Lloyd Wright—particularly his masterpiece Fallingwater—Elena embodies the same holistic approach to designing a space.
She believes that a building’s structure and its interiors should complement one another, creating harmony from the outside in. Her expertise as both a qualified architect and experienced interior designer allows her to bridge the gap between concept and reality, delivering spaces that are not only functional but beautifully considered.
Elena’s understanding of design goes beyond aesthetics. Having studied the neuroscience of colour vibrations and their effect on mood and atmosphere, she uses colour intentionally to create spaces that evoke emotion, balance, and positivity. Whether it’s a family home in Cheshire or a collaborative commercial project, her designs are tailored to enhance the lives of those who use them.
For Elena, the heart of every project is the client. Known affectionately as “The Space Whisperer” by her clients, she has an unparalleled ability to see the hidden potential in a space and bring her clients’ visions to life—often in ways they hadn’t imagined. Her process is deeply collaborative, listening closely to her clients’ needs and transforming them into beautifully realised interiors that reflect their personalities and lifestyles.
Elena’s passion for design doesn’t stop with her own projects. She dreams of one day establishing an academy to mentor aspiring architects and interior designers, equipping them with the skills to approach spaces holistically and intuitively. Her vision is to create a legacy of thoughtful, imaginative design that continues to make the world a more inspiring and colourful place.
